About Our Landscape Designer, Sharon Bailey Baum
Sharon comes to us with 25 years of experience in landscape design. Her resume covers the state of Virginia from the Roanoke Valley to Richmond, Williamsburg, and the tidewater area. Starting with a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Virginia Tech, Sharon has held many positions in the industry with the main focus being residential landscape design. “I see myself as a problem solver for the client. Every site is as individual as the needs of the customer. And the needs of the customer changes as the site does.” Uncovering hidden potential in every landscape is her goal.
Recently Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College as an instructor in landscape design courses have employed Sharon. After 8 years at Reynolds, Sharon is taking a break in teaching as she joins Kirby’s Landscaping full-time to help our clients realize their dreams. “I am excited to work for Kirby’s. They are fully committed to providing the customer with an outstanding landscape package. From maintenance to installation and now in-house design we can take care of the customer in the best possible way.”
